New production director joins UBC team
We are delighted to welcome Dave Sweeney to the UBC team in the new role of Production Director. Dave brings with him over 20 years of manufacturing industry experience, working across operational and leadership roles for companies including Jaguar Land Rover and DANA. Dave started his career as an Electronics Engineering Manager in the Royal Air Force.
Dave joins UBC at a key time in the development of the company, enabling the start of commercial production of our first generation battery and energy storage products, which will be manufactured in the UK and exported globally.
Away from work, Dave is a keen marathon runner and Bolton Wanderers fan.
Dave will report to Malcolm Earp, who said: “Dave’s role forms a key part of achieving our strategic goals, ensuring the benefits of UBC technologies are made available to everyone and help drive down carbon emissions and accelerate the drive to Net Zero”.
